I had good intentions for all of my Mother's Day cards. I was going to make each person a card with their favorite flower on them. I started working on making carnation svg files for my grandma's card, but since I procrastinated too long, I ended up giving them all orchid cards. Oops! This carnation is very intricate, and somewhat difficult to piece together. But it's more realistic looking. A trick I found helpful when putting the petal pieces on was to use the outer part that I was about to throw away as a stencil. I glued the first petal on where it should go, and then placed my stencil piece over that and stuck the other pieces in like a jigsaw puzzle. It turned out great, but was tedious.
This one is more simple, and less carnation looking. This one would be hard to mess up. Trust me, I've tried. :D

Guitars Part 1
Today I'm uploading guitar files for a friend. Here are the first 3 options. I'm still working on some layered guitars.
The first one is very simple.
The second has more small cuts, and would work better cut larger. But I love the look of the strings.
The last is an electric guitar.

Mother's Day Cards
Today I'm posting actual projects that I've done this week. These are the Mother's Day cards that I made for my mom, grandmas, and aunts.
On this one, I used the 'fold-it flowers' that I found on Penny Duncan Creations. It took me a while, and a few ruined flowers to figure out exactly how to fold them, but I was pretty happy with the results.
I knew that the orchid is my mom's favorite flower, and wanted to make her an orchid card. My plan was to make all of my cards the favorite flower of the recipient, but I cut out about a dozen orchids, and kinda ran out of time, so lots of them got these. This is the first orchid file that I worked on. I like it, but the edges of the base layer are very thin, and rip easily.
This card is made with the second orchid file that I made. I really like the way this one turned out. I even made my first attempt at inking the edges of the pieces! Go easy on me. I'm new at this! lol
