Girlie Girls

I wanted a cute cut file for a pair of sunglasses. In the midst of my search, I found an entire page full of girlie girl things. I liked most of them, so decided to convert them all in one file. Included are 3 different handbags, lipstick, a compact with a mirror (not sure I like that one), a hand mirror, two different styles of shoes, a funky shaped nail polish bottle, and finally, the sunglasses. Now that I've finished this file, I'll try jazzing up the sunglasses to be more what I was looking for.

As of right now, I haven't test cut any of these. I'm a little concerned that the outline of the larger handbag won't work.

Mary's Request

So Mary sent a request my way this morning. What fun I had putting this one together! This is a small recipe box with tabbed dividers inside. It will easily fit 3x5 index cards. It can be re-sized to fit the 4x6.

I drew the dashes along the edge, just so you could see the shape. Now I see them in a photo, I don't like them anymore, and gave the box to my daughter to decorate.

Thanks Mary for the request!

Snack Box

Today, for your cutting enjoyment, I give you the snack box. As long as you make sure the proportions are locked, you can make this just about any size you want. Using two 12"x12" sheets of paper, this one turned out to be 6 1/2" long, 4 1/4" wide, and 5 3/4" tall. We made a smaller one using 8 1/2" x 11" cardstock for Sarah to pack stuff into. She squished 4 cupcakes into hers.

Hope you enjoy this one!

Young Women's Logo

So here's my first attempt at a blog post. I can come back and delete this later, right? You know, when I look back and wonder what I was thinking during the first post.

I got a Cricut for Christmas, and have been since learning how to make my own files to cut, since I'm way too cheap to spend all of my money on Cricut cartridges. I have to save some of it for my crack, er I mean paper. I'm shocked at how quickly this became something that I enjoy so much.

After several attempts at various svg files for use with Sure Cuts A Lot, I'm tired of keeping them to myself. I'm ready to share them. Today I've been working on the Young Women's logo.

If I can get this right, you should be able to click on the picture to download the svg file.
